抄録

Positively charged non-aqueous polymer dispersion (NAD) and negatively charged NAD were prepared bycopolymerization of methyl methacrylate with an amino-functional monomer and an acid-functional monomer, respectively, and the flow behavior of the mixture was studied. Both NADs show Newtonian flow by itself, and the mixture exhibits strong interaction between the particles which leads to non-Newtonian flow. The interaction between positive and negative NADs is affected by the level of an acrylic dispersant and the functionality. Viscosity of the mixed NADs system can be controlled by neutralization of the functional groups.
