Abstract

We have experienced two cases of teeth extraction in father and son with May-Hegglin anomaly. The diagnosis of these cases was determined by preoperative clinical examination for screening of hemorrhagic diathesis. The result of observation of the peripheral blood in patients, we found out some specific inspections of May-Hegglin anomaly. They were 1) giant bizarre blood platelets 2) DOhle inclusion bodies in the polymorphonuclear leucocytes 3) thrombopenia. We have done teeth extraction of those patients without trouble of blooding by only local haemostatic treatment.
