Description

Temporomandibular arthrosis is caused by various etiologic factors, including muscular dysfunction, disorder of articulardisk, bony changes of the temporomandibular joint and other psycological factors. It is difficult to diagnose and treat this arthrosis without classifying these etiologic types. Recently, clinical classification of the temporomandibular arthrosis was established.<BR>So, we attempted to classify our patients with temporomandibular arthrosis by this classification, and studied the effect of a muscle relaxant (eperisone hydrochloride: Myonal®) in these classified patient groups. It was revealed that Myonal was effective for patients with type I arthrosis with a significant improvement rate.
