Description
Following the 1st report, we extend our investigations of a combined cycle with hightemperature helium-gas and steam turbines.<BR>Recently in thermal power generation a great interest is focussed on the combined cycle, which has been positively introduced. The combined cycle with high-temperature helium- gas and steam turbines by HTGRs, however, is more effective, because the calculation indicates that the maximum thermal efficiencies in the combined system under the same operational condition of the HTTR are about 55% or more.
