Description
A copolymer of ethyl acrylate-2 chloroethylvinylether (95:5) was masticated under various conditions using an open mill. The intrinsic viscosity of masticated sample was decreased with the processing time, and was greatly affected by the mill temperature. The molecular weight distribution curves for unmasticated sample (original sample) and samples masticated for 10 or 50 minutes at 20°C were determined using column method.<br>The width of the distribution curve was discussed on statistical parameter μ2 which was defined as follows.<br>Mw/Mn=1+μ2/Mn2
