抄録

After the investigation mentioned in report No. 1, another investigation was conducted on the high structure region of ISAF grade carbon blacks. In order to determine the effect of the high structure carbon blacks, we produced nine kinds of blacks of various high structure and roughness factors having an equal particle size and surface chemical properties under specially controlled furnace operating conditions.<br>Using a series of these carbon blacks, we investigated the role of the high structures and the roughness factors on the polybutadiene rubber compounds and the natural rubber compounds. we found that the high structure and the low roughness factor carbon blacks were the most suitable carbon blacks to reinforce the polybutadiene rubber compounds and have better rubber-properties, processabilities and dispersion than the properties of the rubber compounded normal structure or low structure carbon blacks.
