抄録

Reaction of TMTD (tetramethylthiuram disulfide), diphenylmethane, zinc soap of fatty acid and zinc oxide at 140° gave zinc dimethyldithiocarbamate (I), fatty acid and smaller amounts of free sulfur, zinc sulfide and benzhydryl dimethyklithiocarbamate (II). The reaction involving the same ingredients at 100° gave tetramethylthiuram mono-sulfide and II besides I and fatty acid, but not free sulfur and zinc sulfide. A free radical mechanism is proposed temporarily to interpret the results.
