Abstract
Although the properties of NR and SBR are resembling each other, it is strange that the detailed study on the properties of the blended rubber is not yet carried out.<br>We examined the various properties in the case that NR and SBR was carefully blended by rolls. We observed that the change of properties was approximately proportional for the blend-ratio of blended rubber, unvulcanized blended rubber, and vulcanized rubber. Among the various properties of vulcanized rubber, those tested by fracture test did not show too good proportionality, so we assume that this reason was the blending of uncompounded rubber was not thoroughly uniform. The effect of high and low temperature in the mixing, hardly showed any difference.
