抄録

Three types of rubber tension test pieces specified in JIS K 6301 were investigated by photo-elasticity.<br>Fig. 2 shows the loading apparatus.<br>Phenolite test pieces of 6mm in thickness were prepared as shown in Fig. 1. A mercury-vapor lamp was used as the light source.<br>From the analysis of the photographs obtained, the test piece of type No. 3 was found to show the defects around the clamping parts.
