抄録

The albumen-paper print was used as a printing material in photographic practice from 1855 to 1895. A substantial portion of the legacy of 19th-century photographs exists in this form. More or less, most of them have deteriorated.<BR>In this study, we reproduced the albumen-paper prints and incubated them to determine the speed of density decrease caused by deterioration. The albumen-paper prints prepared for the test were incubated at 60°-85°C, 86% RH. From the incubation tests, applying the Arrhenius' equation, we predicted the image life of albumen-paper print as follows. Dark storage period: 6±1.2 years at 20°C on 86% RH.
