Abstract
For over 100 years film projection has been the basis of the cinema industry world-wide. The Development of High resolution Projector has allowed realization of Digital Cinema and Home Theater market. The objective of this paperis to present the technical description of the D-ILA projector used for this application. Recently D-ILA projector provides up to 12000 lumens and resolutions at or above 4 k×3 k are the desired goals for many of the projects they have in development. The paper will also discuss the requirements and future for digital cinema systems.
