Abstract
The RAW image files of color digital cameras are produced by direct analog to digital converting from the Bayer filtered imaging devices. The Bayer-RAW images are not affected by the digital image processing of the camera system, so the MTF of optical system can be calculated from Bayer-RAW images. The MTFs for three colors (Red, Green, Blue) of an optical system for digital still camera which output the RAW images are calculated from slanted black/white edges. The MTFs for green color are calculated from slanted images interpolated 1-dimensionally. The MTFs for red color and blue color are derived from re-sampled slant edges of filtered images. The white light MTFs are also calculated by white balanced Bayer-RAW images.
