Description
<p>Fluorinated polymers have been known to exhibit high thermal resistance, low dielectric constant, excellent weather resistance, low flammability, low surface energy, and outstanding resistance to most chemicals. Asahi Glass has developed solvent-soluble fluorinated polymers. The materials suitable for the organic electronics applications are introduced in this paper. One is transparent amorphous perfluorinated polymer, CYTOP, maintaining the characteristic features of conventional fluoro-polymer. It can be soluble in fluoro-solvent, which has been widely used in the field of coating. The other is EPRIMA® AL. Unlike CYTOP, it could be soluble in commonly-used solvent. According to the structure and required specification of device, the polymers could be used in different situation due to the different properties.</p>
