Description

<p>In the specialized communication, terminology is indispensable because it gives the terms to be used in the communication as well as the concepts that the terms represent. Definition must give the accurate information about the concept. In this paper, first, the principle of definition in the standardization and terminology are described. Second, based on ISO 704 “Terminology － Principles and Methods” the guidelines for definition writing are briefly explained. Additional information to the definition, such as notes, concept descriptions and encyclopedic descriptions are also introduced.</p>
