抄録

Originally established in 1961, the Palace Hotel reopened its doors as the Palace Building, a newly designed hotel and office complex set against an expanse of greens and water of the magnificent Imperial Palace. The traditional Japanese textile exemplified by Kimonos as a lighting motif, the strips of LED that elegantly wrap up the buildings replaced its fine threads of warp and woof. The lighting scheme highlighting the texture and sparkle of the traditional aji-ishi granite masonry approach, wall sconces resembling the interior design theme, and the bespoke stainless mirror object of champagne bubbles express Japanese fineness without excessive splendor.
