Abstract

Pb atomic-layer superconductor on Si(111) surface differs in character from bulk due to two dimensional nature. Recently, we found that √3×√43Pb atomic-layer on Si(111) has superconductivity and its perpendicular critical field increases on the terraces between steps. Today, we also show superconductivity of √3×√43Pb atomic-layer on slightly inclined Si(111), which has step structure with uniformly narrow terraces, and mention the possibility of the enhancement of perpendicular critical field at a macro level.
