抄録

<p>This research report shows the consideration of regeneration initiatives for historic townscape in the initial stage. Using action research method, we applied two space producing techniques to Ishiwaki Street. One space producing technique is to line up handmade lanterns that are made of bamboo and Japanese paper on the street, the other is to open the Installation in a Machiya house. This research clarified followings. 1) The producing by lanterns and Installation provided the opportunities for revaluating the townscape and the Machiya house. 2) The producing contributed to causing of cooperation consciousness for regeneration of the historic townscape.</p>
