Abstract

<p>The exchange center in Hitachi City of Ibaraki prefecture was investigated as a cozy place in the town. Influences of users on "community living behavior" which is constructed by "community attachment", "use of public space" and "regional exchange" were quantitatively examined. As results, there were regular users and event users as a cozy place. Common to the two types, coziness has great influence on regional attachment. Regional attachment strengthened regional exchanges. The event users strengthened the use of public spaces when strengthening regional exchange. From these findings, it is important to superimpose the causal structure model held by the regular users and the event users. Authors offered a regional life behavior design that utilization at a cozy facility fosters regional affection, then strengthens regional exchanges, and spreads to the use of neighboring public spaces.</p>
