Description
In this study, we conducted a simulation to hindcast the huge swell, “Yori-Mawari Wave” that occurred in the end of February 2008, and found that in the Shimoniikawa area (Eastern bay) in Nyuzenmachi along the coast of Toyama Bay, the Toyama area (Middle part of bay) and the Fushiki area (Western bay) of Fushiki Toyama Port from the viewpoint of the influence of the coastline and the seabed topography.<br> In addition, the interaction between wave and flow on the coast of Toyama Bay is an important issue to be clarified in relation to drift sand etc. In particular, we analyzed the relation between the swell and the seafloor topography change from radiation stress (RS) and wave-induced radiation force (WIRF), especially in the Shimoniikawa area, where sea-floor topography changes drastically. The occurrence of flow accompanying deformation characteristics was also estimated.
