Abstract

<p>The present article makes a brief review of the 2021 CO2 regulations in Europe and explains the range of technologies available to cope with the regulations.</p><p>Further explained are technologies of the 48-volt (mild) hybrid systems which are expected to be widely used in view of their cost advantage.</p><p>Finally, the trend of the 48V technologies adopted in Europe and China is explained, focusing on those adopted by European automotive suppliers.</p>
