Abstract

<p>In this paper, it is demonstrated that the formation-evolution process and tourism status of folk villages via the field investigation of three Yanbian Folk Villages. It can be concluded that: 1) The villages formed from the spontaneous migration period have more general consensuses than ones formed after administrative migration period. 2) The folk villages are affected by the more general consensuses and feature spots. 3) The tourism activities are summarized into four parts according to the classification of cultural tourism, which are traditional culture, folk event, commercial activity, and villager participation of village. 4) The folk villages in the early stages develop along traditional culture and folk event, and later the commercial tourism has increased.</p>
