Abstract
<p>The shape memory alloy (SMA) actuator using resistance feedback control system can control and retain positioning at any positions without sensor device. Thus, this system is already used in the lens focusing system for a smartphone camera. However, since this system is necessary to use a narrow SMA wire, it is difficult to increase the output of actuator. Therefore, we devised and fabricated the “weft yarn-type SMA actuator” with warp alumite wire for the purpose of increase the output and operation speed of SMA actuator using resistance feedback system. In this study, effects of the installed number of warp alumite wire on operating characteristics of this SMA actuator are investigated.</p>
