Description
The presented paper discusses the method of assessing and improving work management systems in their ability to prevent human errors. A method of identifying latent flaws in a work management system using the human error case data observed under this management system was developed according to K. Kawasaki et al's proposal, and then applied to five actual manufacturing processes to evaluate its appropriateness and effectiveness. As a result, a good correspondence between error analysis results and actual status of work management systems were observed as well as decreases in error occurrence rate through the improvement activities based on the analysis.
