Description
The present study was conducted to make clearer about a possibility of flower induction in F. chiloensis CHI-24-1 under a 24 hour daylength using plant growth fluorescent lamps which emit far-red light component. The flower initiation occurred 100% of the CHI-24-1 under 24 hour daylength for the duration more than 23 days. Also the effectiveness of daylength to induce flower initiation of the CHI-24-1 was the best under the 24 hour daylength. The 100% of adult and juvenile plants initiated flower buds under more than about 60μmol・m^<-2>・s^<-1> of 24 hour daylength. On the basis of these results, the characteristics of flower initiation of CHI-24-1 were discussed.
