Abstract

<p>HIMAC began clinical trials in 1994. In the same year, HIMAC also began to supply beams to basic science programs, named as the “Research Project with Heavy Ions at NIRS-HIMAC”. Irradiation rooms and laboratories are gradually being prepared and improved for a variety of experiments. These efforts have resulted in much scientific work by many researchers, including outside users.</p>
