Abstract
In this study, we confirmed the influence of a change in a composition of electrode on flexible electronic sheet on cell viability. Our electronic sheet is composed of 500 nm parylene film and electrode. We fabricated two types of electronic sheet, chromium-Au electrode sample and Au electrode sample. By providing chromium layer, adhesion force between parylene film and Au layer is improved therefore the improvement of durability of flexible electronic sheet is expected. But chromium has cytotoxicity, therefore cytotoxicity expression is concerned by culturing cardiomyocyte on flexible electronic sheet. In this paper, we cultured cardiomyocyte on two type of electronic sheet as described above and compared the state of cardiomyocyte by microscope. We confirmed cytotoxicity did not express within the 3rd days after beginning its culture. It suggested that the cytotoxic effect from chromium is prevented by covering chromium with Au electrode. It is thought that chromium layer is available for fabricating high durability electronic sheet.
