Abstract
Photovoltaic system is expected as an effective use of renewable energy, its output instability, however, also causes voltage fluctuation in a distribution system. If power generation output is known in advance, it is possible to stabilize the distribution system voltage. This paper proposes novel voltage control method of a distribution system based on photovoltaic power generation forecasting. In order to forecast photovoltaic power generation 15 minutes ahead, used are correlations of solar radiation intensity between one point and another. It is possible to calculate photovoltaic power generation by using before-mentioned forecasted data of solar radiation intensity. This proposed voltage control method can be performed through adjusted sending voltage from a distribution substation, which maintains distribution network voltage within the acceptable range. This leads to the least frequency of photovoltaic disconnection.
