<p>In this paper, the effects of matrix resin of CFRP bonded onto steel plate were investigated by using FE analysis. As the results of the analysis, it was found that the matrix resin does not affect the energy release rate which is one of the criterion of debonding of CFRP. The required bond length of CFRP considering the effect of shear deformation of matrix resin can be calculated by the reference equations with applying the modified adhesive thickness. Additionally, the equation of modified adhesive thickness of multilayered CFRP bonding condition was proposed for the design of required bond length of CFRP.</p>
