- Clarification of the drastic change mechanism of the electronic transport properties of dumbbell-shape graphene-nanoribbons by first-principle calculation
抄録
<p>The electronic band structure and electronic transport properties of dumbbell-shape graphene nanoribbons (DS-GNRs), which are composed of a thinner semiconductive GNR and two wider metallic GNRs at its both ends, was theoretically investigated using first-principle calculation to clarify the predominant controlling factors of their electronic performance for applications to various smart sensors. The electronic properties of the DS-GNR was stated to vary distinctly depending on the combination of the total number of carbon atoms along the width direction of each portion, the width of the metallic portion, and so on. The localized electronic properties was attested to originate in the DS-GNR owing to the coalescence area between thinner and wider GNRs.</p>
