This study explores the regional characteristics of guided night tours for foreign tourists in Shibuya City, Tokyo. The Shibuya City Tourism Association arranges guided walking tours that take place at night. Making these activities official provides participants the opportunity to safely walk around town at night. The itinerary of these tours does not always include alcohol drinking, which makes this a convenient option for foreign tourists with children. In addition, the implementation of these tours aims to focus on those aspects of tourism that tend to be neglected in the development of night-time economy.
