Description

The purpose of this study is to clarify how the communication activities in the cooperative distance learning influenced the students' abilities of expression of connecting the change in the phenomenon with graph. Therefore, in the cooperative distance learning to pose problems to each other about movements of walking and graphs, we carried out the experiment class which express movements of walking by the body or the sentence and interpret them, through mathematical activities. The following results were obtained:<br> (1) The students' ability of expression to interpret the sentence and draw the graph of the change of the phenomenon was improved.<br> (2) The students' ability of expression to interpret the graph and describe the sentence of the change of the phenomenon was improved.<br> (3) The students' consciousness to grasp the relationships between time and distance in the movement of walking was improved.
