Description

The purpose of this study is to clarify the effects of continued resistance training on psychological and physiological aspects among the participants. The participants comprised 10 male university students, of whom 5 participants were in the experimental group and continued resistance training for 15 minutes per day for 2 days a week, for 8 weeks. In addition, a questionnaire survey and biological data measurements were conducted for all of the participants before training, halfway through the training, and after training. The participants’ mood states were measured with the POMS 2, their muscle and fat thickness were measured with the BFI measure, and their body components were measured with the InBody device. Comparison of the obtained data between the experimental and control groups showed that the participants who continued their resistance training showed improved muscular strength. Although there were no significant differences in the participants’ mood states during the training period, participation in the experiment may have motivated their health behavior, which needs to be further examined.
