<p>Orbital and intracranial complications of acute bacterial rhinosinusitis are relatively common, but a delay in diagnosis and appropriate treatment may result in serious complications or life-threatening events. This article describes the etiology, microbiology, symptoms, examinations and treatments of these complications. Early diagnosis and appropriate medical and surgical therapy are crucial to ensure recovery. </p>
