Abstract

<p>At facilities for the elderly, medical and welfare facilities as well as at home care, care takers are struggling to find countermeasures for the clean up of the excrement of the elderly persons at present. Measures against odor of human waste are mainly taken by using deodorant fragrance, it is not possible to eliminate the original odor source. In this study, attention has been for cased on a major problem at the facility of the above “urine” odor associated with the putrefaction of the urine itself, odor substance of urine, and remembering associated with fiber. For bedding and underwear due to leakage of urine is the source of odor, and grasped the relationship between the generation of odor and the type and weave of the fabrics as results.</p>
