Engineering experts must acquire a liberal arts education to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs), as established by the United Nations (UN) resolution. Japan was the first nation in the world to establish a higher education curriculum for both engineering and sciences, as is represented by the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Since Japan is an advanced country in engineering education, the liberal arts curricula related to engineering should be further developed, so that its curricula may lead the way for the rest of the world. Thus, this paper will propose a curricula construction method, drawing upon the fields of the humanities and sociology, from the aspect of engineering education. Moreover, this paper also proposes the utilization of the education method
