Abstract

Nowadays, face-tracking-techniques allow recognizing and obtaining the parameters of face location and posture by a cheap device like a web camera. Since this software is distributed as open-source-library, various convenient systems are developed by using face-tracing-techniques. Therefore face-tracking-techniques allow detecting the alignment and shape of human’s face, these are applied to computer interface. Not using a mouse, keyboard, touching device and so on, it is useful to be able to operate the computer by just only a face motion, even if injured fingers or hand and have a disability. In this study, we are developing a browsing support interface by general-purpose web camera using face-tracking-techniques. The result of experiments showed that the proposed interface allows easily web browsing and character input by just face moving and blinking. In this article, we described the overview of browsing support interface and evaluation by the experiments.
