Description

It has been confirmed in previous studies that aluminosilicate (alkali feldspar or feldspar synthetic reagent (sol reagent)) captures Cs in fly ash by co-heating and makes Cs insoluble. However, up to now, stable Cs has been used, and it has not been confirmed whether this capturing occurs even actual polluted ash containing radioactive Cs. Therefore, in this study, the co-heating experiment with aluminosilicate was conducted using the actual contaminated fly ash generated in Fukushima prefecture and the simulated contaminated ash added with radioisotope (Cs-137). As a result, the aluminosilicate captured Cs even if it was radioactive Cs, and makes Cs insoluble. It was confirmed that the capturing efficiency is higher as the amount of aluminosilicate is higher, and that if the aluminosilicate of about 3 times the amount of fly ash is added, Cs becomes insoluble state at an efficiency of 98% or more.
