Abstract

<p>This paper aims to clarify what kind of modern architectural records have been included as cultural properties in Japanese policy on the protection of cultural properties after Meiji Era. Modern architectural records have been gradually included along with the designation of modern structures. Today, they are included as Designated Tangible Cultural Property and Registered Tangible Cultural Properties as Historic Resources, and Tsuketari of designated Structure. This paper also investigates the beginning of Tsuketari designation and its range.</p>
