- Development of a female muscloskeletal simulation model focusing on body fat percentage and pelvic width
抄録

In the field of kinematic simulation study of the human body, the mechanism of the biomechanical effect of gender difference has not been clarified enough. This paper focused on the gender difference between the body fat percentage and the pelvic width and developed a model for inverse dynamics of the average Japanese female. Then, we evaluated the gender difference of muscle exertion. ANYBODY (ANYBODY Technology) was used for modeling and analysis. We changed height, weight, muscle mass (body fat percentage), and pelvic width from the default general male specifications to average Japanese female specifications. Inverse dynamics analysis was performed on the muscle activity of hip abduction, which is supposed to obtain the effect of the changed musculoskeletal information. As a result, we found two factors that contribute to gender differences in muscle exertion. Firstly, the difference in the amount of tissue such as the body fat percentage causes the difference in the maximum exerted muscle force. And, the difference in the pelvic width causes the difference in the contractile force in the muscle fiber direction. The developed model will be validated and applied to analyse various motions in the future step.
