Abstract

High-strength fiber reinforced mortar has been developed as a filling material for joints in precast segment method. In the high-strength fiber reinforced mortar, experimental investigation was carried out for the purpose of grasping the effect of mixing of expansion material and shrinkage reducing agent on the reduction of autogenous shrinkage and the effect on strength characteristics and durability. As a result, it was confirmed that the addition of an expansive material or a shrinkage reducing agent to the high-strength fiber reinforced mortar has an effect of reducing autogenous shrinkage. Furthermore, when both the expansion material and the shrinkage reducing agent were mixed, it was confirmed that the larger the amount of the expansion material mixed, the greater the effect of reducing self-shrinkage, and that no re-expansion phenomenon occurs within the scope of this study.
As for the strength characteristics, it was confirmed that the compressive strength tended to decrease in comparison with the basic blend by mixing the expansive material or the shrinkage reducing agent, but there was no significant strength decrease in comparison with the basic blend by mixing both the expansive material and the shrinkage reducing agent. On the other hand, the first cracking strength tended to be higher than that of the basic mixture, especially when both the expansive material and the shrinkage reducing agent were mixed. In addition, as a result of verifying the long-term durability, it was confirmed that it has high resistance to neutralization and freezing and thawing action. However, in the freeze-thaw test, scaling over a wide range was confirmed as the amount of the expansive material mixed increased, suggesting that the curing method needs to be devised in order to reduce the effect of the scaling.
