Abstract
[Purpose] The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of clinical training at a physical therapist training school on students’ sleep habits. [Participants and Methods] The subjects were student conducting clinical training. All students were surveyed using the Japanese version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. The survey was conducted immediately before and after the start of clinical training. [Results] Compared with before the clinical training, the sleep habits of students after the clinical training were worse in the items of “sleep duration”, “sleep disturbance”, and “daytime dysfunction”. [Conclusion] In clinical training, students do not get enough sleep. Students need to be fully instructed about the appropriate rest in clinical training.
