Abstract

The purpose of this study is to study “Anzu-chan” published in the Shinano Mainichi Shimbun, and to examine living space and home economics education. The research subjects were published from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2016, and data was extracted focusing on the correspondence between the living space and the characters, and the learning area of home education. The findings obtained from this study are as follows. 1) In the living space depicted in the story, the ratio inside the house is the highest at about 70%. 2) In the scene change of the living space, the ratio of the story progressing in the same space type is high at 84.4%. 3) In the relationship of living space, the kitchen is often treated as the stage of the story in relation to the living room. 4) Regarding the relationship of home economics learning content, about 30% of the total deals with home economics learning content, which is home economics 7.9%, clothing science 4.0%, food science 11.8%, and housing science 7.1%.
