Description
Local Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) enhancement mechanism due to implanted metal plates in humans exposed to RF electromagnetic fields are investigated. In some cases, a combination of two metal plates is applied instead of a single plate because of surgical reasons such as space limit, stability, strength, and so on. The main objective of this study is to evaluate RF exposure conditions under which the SAR is enhanced when two metal plates are placed in parallel.
