<p>The dry gauze method, which uses gauze embedded in a wooden frame, is often used to evaluate the amount of airborne salt. However, the scattering behavior of particles around the collection device and the deposition mechanism to the gauze fibers has not been studied in detail. In this study, the particle collection efficiency of gauze fiber was investigated based on the flow fields around the circular cylinders in cruciform arrangement by CFD. The results showed that the particle collection efficiency of the circular cylinder can be estimated from the amount of pressure loss that occurs when the fluid passes through the cylinder.</p>
