Abstract

While the development of textile products with high surface friction is progressing, the objective evaluation of their effects has become an issue. Using a nanofiber foot cover as an example, we investigated a method for evaluating the effects of different foot conditions on posture control in comparison with general nylon stockings. We considered that a foot cover with high friction would be effective especially when a woman stood up for a long time with pumps, and measured the 3D movement of walking. At first, we hypothesized that the posture difference would be caused between the two different foot conditions, and be little between before and after standing working under nanofiber wearing condition. As a result, the body more flexed in nanofibers, more extended after work. In addition, FFT analysis of the angle of the upper body showed that the peak value near the cycle for one step of nanofibers was significantly smaller after the task in particular. From these results, a walk in a foot cover with high friction would be effective at a limited age and gender.
