Abstract

<p>Screening tests are useful for determining the functional impairments of disorders and diseases in sports activities. In this paper, a case study is presented and the original Hara test (EPT, EET) and lateral reach movements test were used for screening. In order to use these as screening tests, the myofunction of the triceps and serratus anterior muscles of each movement was examined using surface electromyography. It is often difficult to determine the functional impairment of disorders and diseases in sports activities. A deeper understanding of the significance of screening tests and their use in clinical practice can help the elucidation of the causal relationship between disease and functional impairment.</p>
