Abstract

<p>Asian Precipitation Experiment (AsiaPEX) is a newly launced project in 2019. It is successor of the GAME and MAHASRI projects that have explored Asian hydroclimatological system. AsiaPEX is under the GEWEX (Global Energy and Water Exchanges) Project which is a component of the WCRP (World Climate Research Programme). Under the GEWEX there are four panels including GHP (GEWEX Hydroclimatology Panel), and the AsiaPEX is a Prospective Regional Hydroclimate Project of GHP. We will describe the main focus of the approaches of AsiaPEX, and recent activities, to promote interactive collaboration between the Hydrological and Climatological approaches for the research on the Asian climate change.</p>
