Description
ABSTRACT As a fundamental study on disruption of water films for low pressure stages of steam turbines, disruption patterns of water films splashed from a plate edge are observed with a high speed camera. In equivalent Reynolds number conditions of actual turbine operations, water droplets with diameters of several hundred micros meter can be observed and a generation mechanism for the coarse droplets are discussed.
