本稿はコロンビア国の都市問題への取組について，特にメデジン市を主に取り上げている．貧困問題，スラムの改善が最も重要な課題である．サンタドミンゴ地区においては，ロープウエー（メトロカブレと言う）で人々の移動の問題を解決し，都市にアクセスしやすくなったことから住民の疎外感がなくなった．またファンボボ地区の再開発事業は，日本の土地区画整理事業から学んだ事業方式であるが，行政と住民が協働で住環境改善にあたった．日本の土地区画整理事業の方式を，コロンビアの地は，現地にふさわしいように改善している． 日本はコロンビア国をはじめとする南米諸国へ都市計画技術の支援を行っているが，同時に，南米諸国の工夫から学ぶべきものがあると思っている． This report shows what is going on in Colombia, especialy in Medellin City to struggle city problems. The poverty and slum renovation may be the most important issue. In Santa Domingo area, metro-cable is a good transportation solution, that changed the the mind of slam residents. Juan Bobo renewal projects is a success because residents and a city cooperated and tackled the environmental management of the slum area by useing land-readjustment. Colombia improved Japan's land-readjustment to the Colombian version that includes social housing. Colombia is in the opposite side to global seen from Japan, and has made different urbanism, but there is many issues that Japan must learn.
