Abstract
In this paper, we discuss data transmission method to all sensor nodes equipped indoor by controlling luminosity within unperceived variation which uses existing light-controllable fixtures in office. For data modulation using luminosity control of the light fixtures, we propose 2 modulation schemes-Light Intensity Modulation and Pulse Position Modulation. For data demodulation on sensor nodes, we propose 3 demodulation schemes-Signal Detection with Time Derivative, Signal Detection with Correlation Coefficient and Demodulation with Pulse Interval for PPM. This paper also evaluates correct rates of data transmission which uses the proposed modulation and demodulation schemes in actual environment. From the experimental result, we verified that proposed method can transmit with 100 % correct rate in the environment of more than 500 lx. And furthermore, we confirmed that correct rate of data transmission in low illuminance environment differs depending on demodulations.
